ConstructConnect is a construction technology company focused on growth and brand performance. As Director of Brand & Digital Marketing, Kate Wenzel oversees how the company shows up across channels and connects brand efforts to revenue.
After more than five years with the same swag vendor, the contract was up for renewal–a natural point to reassess the process.
The existing setup had become restrictive. Options were narrow, bulk-only ordering led to outdated inventory, and storage and shipping costs continued to rise. With no 24/7 storefront for employees to purchase swag on demand and every request routed through a single point of contact, scaling initiatives became difficult.
Rather than renew, ConstructConnect sought a solution that could better support both internal and external relationships moving forward. After researching alternatives, Kate discovered Stadium.
ConstructConnect needed something simpler to manage without adding coordination or complexity.
Once they moved to Stadium, the team could manage print-on-demand swag, branded stores, bulk event orders, and curated kits from a single place.
“What really set Stadium apart was the breadth of options. Stadium supports everything from internal brand-building initiatives to external customer gifting to bulk event swag–all without needing multiple vendors.”
Centralizing swag was only part of the solution–it also needed to be easy to access. A 24/7 store was essential, so employees could redeem or purchase swag at their own convenience. From there, it became easier to expand rewards and recognition efforts, including thanking customers for reviews or participation in advocacy.
Multiple stores with multiple admins meant different teams could manage their own initiatives while keeping budgets organized and separate.
“Connecting the right people and giving teams ownership turned swag into something much bigger for us. Different teams company-wide now use stores and kits to build stronger relationships, and that’s been incredibly valuable.”
With company stores in place, company-wide initiatives became easier to execute. For two consecutive years, more than 850 employees received holiday gifts through the stores.
“Holiday gifting completely changed for us. Letting employees choose what they actually want made it something people genuinely look forward to. They compare items, talk about what they picked, and actually wear the gear.”
Externally, ConstructConnect showed up stronger at trade shows, career fairs, and in-person events. Bulk orders were simpler to coordinate, allowing the team to focus on the experience rather than logistics.
Customer advocacy followed naturally. ConstructConnect thanked more than 50 customers with curated branded kits tied to reviews and advocacy efforts, creating moments that deepened relationships.
“Using Stadium for customer advocacy has been incredibly valuable. It’s helped us build stronger credibility and brand awareness with our customers.”
The difference was felt across the company.
Holiday gifting felt more meaningful across the company. Instead of the same options for everyone, employees could choose items they actually wanted to wear, creating more enthusiasm and pride in how the brand showed up.
“Before Stadium, swag wasn’t something we treated as strategic. Now it’s part of how we build our brand. We actually look and feel like the large software company we are.”
That sense of pride carried over to customers. Advocacy programs became easier to execute and more consistent, with branded kits that reinforced credibility and strengthened relationships.
The structural change was just as meaningful. “Before Stadium, all swag requests went through one person, which quickly became overwhelming. Now we can run multiple stores with different admins and separate budgets. It’s made everything far more scalable.”
The operational burden also became lighter. What once took 2–4 hours of manual coordination per customer project is now handled through Stadium, so teams no longer need to spend time comparing pricing or reaching out to vendors themselves.
With the new structure in place, swag became easier to manage and scale–and a consistent part of how ConstructConnect supports employees and customers.
